Quernmore C.E Controlled School Homepage

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our website! We are very proud of our school and believe it offers our children wonderful experiences and an exciting curriculum. Our website should help you find out more about what we can offer your child here at Quernmore.

Our aim is to ensure that every child loves learning. We are passionate about our bespoke curriculum and how we deliver it.  We invest in high quality training for our staff to ensure that children are getting the best possible education. We aim to use our stunning outdoor environment as much as possible and our topics are firmly rooted in our locality. We take the children out on trips both near and far to enhance their learning.

Everything that we do at Quernmore is underpinned by our Christian ethos and values. We pride ourselves on our inclusive, nurturing, family ethos. We have close links with St Peter’s Church and Reverend Cindy is very much part of our school. She leads worship in school each week and we celebrate the major Christian celebrations in the Church. Church members form part of our Governing body and are actively involved in school life.

We pride ourselves on our nurturing approach to relationships within our school. Our experienced staff know that children will learn best when they feel happy and safe. To that end, we invest time in helping children understand their emotions and consequently regulate their own behaviour in response.

We would love to show you around our school so you can see our happy staff and pupils alongside our love for teaching and learning.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us to make an appointment or to ask any questions.

Warm wishes,

Fiona Richardson
